Description
This pair of 19" dolls are Patent Style Raggedy Ann and Andy, made by doll artist Janie Jones. They were sold in Arcola, IL at the 1994 Raggedy Festival.Notice their matching, 'vintage style,' matching clothes. Ann wears a bonnet adorned with pink flowers, and a large gold button on her apron and shoes. Her pantaloons are cream-colored lace. Andy wears a matching shirt and blue dungarees. He's holding a pouch which reads "Wishing Pebble" and the sack contains an actual pebble inside! His clothes have cream ornate buttons on front and sides of his pants. Both have red striped socks and toes pointing outweard.
Notice their painted noses --- Ann's nose is tear drop style, while Andy's is traditional triangle. They have button eyes.
Ann has a red button heart (I Love You is written on it) sewed onto her chest, and her tush is signed and dated by the artist. (
